Western Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2026: The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Western Railway has released a centralized notification (No. RRC/WR/04/2025 Apprentice) for the engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 1487. Online applications are invited for 5349 training slots across various Divisions and Workshops under the jurisdiction of Western Railway for the year 2025-26.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Age Limit (As on 23.03.2026):
Minimum Age: 15 Years
Maximum Age: 24 Years
Age Relaxation: SC/ST (5 Years) , OBC (3 Years) , PwBD (10 Years) , Ex-Servicemen (as per rules).
2. Educational & Technical Qualification:
Educational: Matriculation (10th class) under the 10+2 examination system with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized Board.
Technical: ITI certificate in the relevant trade, affiliated to NCVT.
Note: Engineering graduates and diploma holders are NOT eligible to apply under this notification 1540.

Selection Process
Merit List: The selection will be based on a merit list prepared by taking the average of the percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) and the ITI examination, with equal weightage given to both.
No Written Test: There will be no written test or viva (interview) for this recruitment.
Document Verification & Medical Fitness: Final selection is subject to verification of original documents and a Medical Fitness Certificate.
