CRPF Constable Recruitment 2026: The Directorate General, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) under the Ministry of Home Affairs has released a mega recruitment notification for the post of Constable (Technical & Tradesmen and Pioneer) for the year 2026. Online applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens (Male and Female) to fill up 9,195 vacancies. The recruitment will be conducted on a domicile-based pattern for Tradesmen, while Pioneer vacancies will be filled on an All-India basis.

A total of 9,195 vacancies have been announced. Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level-3 (₹ 21,700 - ₹ 69,100/-). The vacancy breakdown is as follows:

Eligibility Criteria (As on 01.01.2026)

1. Age Limit:

• For Constable (Driver): 21 to 27 Years (Born between 02.01.1999 and 01.01.2005).

• For all other Tradesmen & Pioneer Posts: 18 to 23 Years (Born between 02.01.2003 and 01.01.2008).

• Age Relaxation: SC/ST (5 Years), OBC (3 Years), Ex-Servicemen (3 Years after deduction of military service).

2. Educational & Technical Qualification:

• Constable (Driver): Matriculation (10th) pass. Must possess Heavy Transport Vehicle (HTV) Driving License and should pass the driving test at the time of recruitment.

• Constable (Motor Mechanic Vehicle): 10th Class pass in 10+2 system + 2 Years ITI Certificate in Motor Mechanic Vehicle Trade with 1-year practical experience.

• Constable (Pioneer Wing - Mason/Plumber/Electrician): Matriculation (10th) pass + 1-year experience in the respective trade (Preference will be given to those having ITI certificate).

• For all other Tradesmen: Matriculation (10th) pass. Must be proficient and have worked in the respective trades.

Physical Standards (PST)

• Height: Male - 170 Cms | Female - 157 Cms.

• Chest (Male Only): Un-expanded - 80 Cms | Minimum Expansion - 5 Cms.

• Relaxation in physical standards applies to ST candidates and candidates hailing from specific hilly regions/North-Eastern states as per Govt. rules.

Selection Process

The recruitment process will consist of several stages:

1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates must clear the Race (e.g., 5 Kms in 24 minutes for Male Drivers/Tradesmen; 1.6 Kms in 8.30 minutes for Females).

2. Computer Based Test (CBT): 100 Objective Type Questions for 100 Marks (General Intelligence, General Knowledge, Elementary Mathematics, and English/Hindi). Duration is 2 Hours with a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

3. Trade/Skill Test: Qualifying in nature (must secure 20 out of 50 marks).

4. Document Verification (DV) & Detailed Medical Examination (DME/RME).

• Applications must be submitted strictly through ONLINE mode at the official CRPF recruitment website: www.rect.crpf.gov.in.

• The online application window will remain open from 20.04.2026 to 19.05.2026.

• Register your details and fill up the application form carefully, indicating your Domicile State correctly. (Candidates can apply for one post only).

• Upload scanned copies of your recent color photograph (50 KB to 100 KB, with the date of photo taken printed on it), signature, and required certificates.

• Pay the examination fee of ₹ 100/- online (if applicable).

• Take a printout of the submitted application form for your records.
