  • For Indian Economic Service (IES): A Post-Graduate Degree in Economics / Applied Economics / Business Economics / Econometrics from a recognized University.

  • For Indian Statistical Service (ISS): Bachelor's Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subjects OR a Master's Degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a recognized University.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

The selection will be made in two stages:

  1. Written Examination (1000 Marks):

    • Common Papers: General English (100 Marks), General Studies (100 Marks).

    • IES Specific: General Economics-I, II, III and Indian Economics (200 Marks each).

    • ISS Specific: Statistics-I & II (Objective, 200 Marks each), Statistics-III & IV (Descriptive, 200 Marks each).

  2. Viva Voce / Interview (200 Marks): For candidates who qualify the written stage.
