Eligibility Criteria
1. Age Limit (As on 01.08.2026):
Minimum Age: 21 Years
Maximum Age: 30 Years
Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1996 and not later than 01.08.2005.
Age Relaxation: SC/ST (5 Years), OBC (3 Years), PwBD (10 Years), Ex-Servicemen (5 Years).
2. Educational Qualification:
For Indian Economic Service (IES): A Post-Graduate Degree in Economics / Applied Economics / Business Economics / Econometrics from a recognized University.
For Indian Statistical Service (ISS): Bachelor's Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subjects OR a Master's Degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a recognized University.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The selection will be made in two stages:
Written Examination (1000 Marks):
Common Papers: General English (100 Marks), General Studies (100 Marks).
IES Specific: General Economics-I, II, III and Indian Economics (200 Marks each).
ISS Specific: Statistics-I & II (Objective, 200 Marks each), Statistics-III & IV (Descriptive, 200 Marks each).
Viva Voce / Interview (200 Marks): For candidates who qualify the written stage.
