UPSC CSE 2026: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2026. This examination is conducted to recruit candidates for prestigious Group A and Group B services including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Foreign Service (IFS). Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Candidate must hold a Graduate Degree from a recognized University. Final year students can also apply.

• Age Limit: 21 to 32 Years.

  • OBC Relaxation: 3 Years

  • SC/ST Relaxation: 5 Years

  • PwBD Relaxation: 10 Years

Exam Pattern: Preliminary (Stage 1)

The Prelims exam consists of two objective type papers (MCQs). Marks in Prelims are only for qualification to Mains.

Note: Paper II (CSAT) is qualifying (33% marks required). Negative marking of 1/3rd applies.

Exam Pattern: Mains (Stage 2)

Written examination consisting of 9 papers. Marks of Paper I to VII are counted for Merit.

How to Apply

1. Visit the official UPSC Online portal at upsconline.nic.in.

2. Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) if not done already.

3. Login and fill the application form for "Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2026".

4. Upload scanned Photograph, Signature, and ID Proof.

5. Pay the application fee of ₹100 (if applicable).

6. Submit the form and take a printout for future reference.
