PSSSB Excise Inspector Recruitment 2026: The Subordinate Services Selection Board, Punjab (SSSB Punjab) has released Advertisement No. 01/2026 for the recruitment of Excise and Taxation Inspectors. Eligible candidates can apply online from 13th February 2026. This recruitment replaces the previously withdrawn Advt. No. 14/2024.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Age Limit (As on 01.01.2026):
General: 18 to 37 Years
SC / BC (Punjab): Max 42 Years
Govt Employees (State/Central): Max 45 Years
PwD (Punjab): Max 47 Years
Note: Candidates who applied for Advt. 14/2024 will have their age calculated as on 01.01.2024.
2. Educational Qualification:
Bachelor''s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or institution.
Possess at least 120 Hours Course with working experience in the use of Personal Computers or Information Technology in Office Productivity Applications or Desktop Publishing Applications from a recognized institution (ISO 9001 certified).
OR passed a Computer Information Technology Course equivalent to ''O'' Level certificate of DOEACC.
Mandatory: Passed Matriculation with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects.
Salary Structure
Selected candidates will receive a salary of ₹ 35,400/- per month (Level 6 as per 7th CPC).

Selection Process
Written Examination (MCQ):
Part A: Punjabi Qualifying Test (Matric Level). Candidates must secure min 50% marks to qualify. Marks not added to merit.
Part B: Subject-specific paper. Merit will be based on Part B marks only.
Negative Marking: 1/4th mark (0.25) will be deducted for every wrong answer in Part B.
