MCL Recruitment 2026: Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited and a Government of India Undertaking, has released an employment notification (Ref. No.: MCL/HQ/Recruitment/Statutory/2026/120). Online applications are invited from eligible citizens of India for 667 statutory and non-statutory posts including Mining Sirdar, Junior Overman, Surveyor, and others.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit (As on 06.04.2026):

• Minimum Age: 18 Years

• Maximum Age (UR/EWS): 30 Years

• Age Relaxation: OBC-NCL (3 Years), SC/ST (5 Years), Ex-Servicemen (Service + 3 Years). No age bar for CIL & Subsidiary Departmental candidates.

2. Educational & Statutory Qualification:

• Mining Sirdar: 10+2 OR Diploma/Degree in Mining Engineering + Valid Mining Sirdarship / Overman Competency Certificate issued by DGMS + Valid First Aid & Gas Testing Certificates.

• Junior Overman: Diploma/Degree in Mining Engineering + Valid Overman Competency Certificate + Valid First Aid & Gas Testing Certificates.

• Surveyor: 10+2 OR Diploma/Degree in Mining/Mine Surveying + Valid Survey Certificate of Competency granted by DGMS.

• Translator (OL): B.A. or equivalent with Hindi & English. Govt. Diploma Holder in Hindi Translation preferred.

• Technician (Pathology): Diploma in Pathology from a Govt. recognized Institute.

Selection Process & Exam Scheme

The selection will be strictly based on a Computer Based Test (CBT). No personal interview will be conducted.

• Exam Pattern: The CBT will consist of 100 objective-type questions (100 Marks). Section A covers General Awareness/Aptitude (20 Marks) and Section B covers Technical Knowledge (80 Marks).

• No Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

• Qualifying Marks: 45% for UR/EWS, 40% for OBC(NCL), and 35% for SC/ST candidates.

• Candidates shortlisted from the CBT will undergo Document Verification and an Initial Medical Examination (IME).
