India Optel Limited Recruitment 2026: India Optel Limited (IOL), a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has released an official advertisement (Advt No: IOLHqrs/100(2)/2026-Rectt). Offline applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens for the engagement of 77 Junior Project Engineers across various disciplines on a Fixed Term Contract basis at its Dehradun units.

Vacancy Details & Remuneration

A total of 77 vacancies have been announced. Selected candidates will be placed in the Pay Level of ₹ 30,000 - ₹ 1,20,000/- along with Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA), HRA, and Medical Allowances. The discipline-wise breakdown is as follows:

Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit (As on closing date of Advertisement):

• Minimum Age: 18 Years

• Maximum Age: 35 Years

• Age Relaxation: Applicable for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD/Ex-SM as per Government of India directives.

2. Educational Qualification & Experience:

• Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics: Full-time regular 3-years Diploma in the respective Engineering trade with a minimum of 60% marks.

• Chemical: First class (60% marks) full-time regular B.Sc. Degree in Chemistry.

• Optics & Coating: First class (60% marks) full-time regular B.Sc. Degree with Physics and Mathematics both as major subjects.

• Experience Requirement (For all posts): Candidates must possess a minimum of 05 years post-qualification relevant work experience.

• Note: SC/ST/PwBD candidates require a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their essential qualification.

Selection Process

• Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted for the Personal Interview at a ratio of 1.5 times the number of vacancies based on the percentage of marks obtained in their Diploma/B.Sc.

• Personal Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview. Document verification will be carried out before the interview.

• Final Merit List: The final selection will be based on a weighted score: 75% weightage to the percentage in Diploma/B.Sc and 25% weightage to performance in the personal interview.
