Eligibility Criteria

1. Mandatory Requirement:

  • Knowledge of the Konkani language is essential for all posts. (Knowledge of Marathi is desirable).

  • Candidate must possess a valid 15 years residence certificate issued by the Competent Authority in Goa.

2. Educational Qualification (General Overview):

  • Police Constable / Forest Guard / Warden / Lascar: Passed Secondary School Certificate (10th) Examination or equivalent.

  • Round Forester / Platoon Commander: Higher Secondary School Certificate (12th) or equivalent.

  • Range Forest Officer: Bachelor''s Degree in Science (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Forestry, or Agriculture).

  • Note: Candidates must meet specific Physical Standards (Height, Weight, Chest) varying by post.

Selection Process

  • CBT-I (Computer Based Test): A common screening test (excluding negative marking) will be conducted. Passing the Konkani Language Test (4 out of 10 marks) in this exam is mandatory.

  • Physical Endurance Test (PET) / Physical Standards Test: Candidates shortlisted from CBT-I (up to 20 times the vacancies) will undergo PET (Run, Long Jump, High Jump, etc.) which is of qualifying nature.

  • CBT-II (Main Exam): Candidates who qualify in PET will take CBT-II to determine final merit.
