CMRL Recruitment 2026: Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), a Joint Venture of the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu, has released Detailed Employment Notification No: CMRL/HR/CON/02/2026. Online applications are invited from qualified and experienced personnel for the appointment of Joint General Manager, Deputy General Manager, and Manager posts on a contract / deputation basis.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit (As on 11.02.2026):

• Joint General Manager: Maximum 43 Years

• Deputy General Manager: Maximum 40 Years

• Manager: Maximum 38 Years

• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/SCA (5 Years), MBC/DC/BC/BCM (2 Years), PwBD (10 Years), Ex-Servicemen (Service + 3 Years). Maximum age taking cumulative benefits into account shall not exceed 58 years.

2. Educational Qualification & Experience (For Contract Basis):

• JGM (Signal): B.E/B.Tech (ECE/EEE) with minimum 15 years of executive experience in Signalling systems (CBTC, etc.).

• DGM (Operations): B.E/B.Tech (EEE/ECE/Mech/CSE) or Post Graduate degree with minimum 13 years experience in Operations & Maintenance.

• DGM (Telecom / Power & OHE / E&M): B.E/B.Tech in relevant engineering discipline with minimum 13 years of relevant executive experience.

• Manager (Power & OHE / E&M / Signal): B.E/B.Tech in relevant engineering discipline with minimum 7 years of relevant executive experience.

• Note: Candidates applying on a deputation basis have slightly different experience requirements (e.g., specific JAG/SS grades). Please refer to the official notification for deputation details.

Payment Mode: Online via NEFT/UPI to the specified Canara Bank account. The fee is applicable only for contract-type employment.

Selection Process

• Interview: The selection methodology comprises a two-stage process, starting with an interview to judge knowledge, skills, comprehension, attitude, and aptitude.

• Medical Examination: Candidates who clear the interview must undergo and pass a prescribed medical fitness test.
