BPSC Prosecution Officer Recruitment 2026: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released Advertisement No. 13/2026 for the recruitment of Prosecution Officers (अभियोजन पदाधिकारी) under the Home Department (Directorate of Prosecution), Government of Bihar. Online applications are invited from eligible Law Graduates to fill 300 vacancies across various categories.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Age Limit (As on 01.08.2026):
Minimum Age: 21 Years
Maximum Age (Unreserved Male): 37 Years
Maximum Age (UR Female, BC/EBC Male & Female): 40 Years
Maximum Age (SC/ST Male & Female): 42 Years
Age Relaxation: Candidates who fulfilled the upper age limit between 01.08.2020 and 01.08.2026 are also eligible. Ex-servicemen, PwBD, and State Govt employees will get relaxation as per Bihar Govt rules.
2. Educational Qualification:
Candidate must possess a Bachelor''s Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
The degree must be valid and mandatory for registration to practice as an advocate in a court of law.

Selection Process (Scheme of Examination)
The examination consists of three stages:
Preliminary Examination (Objective Type):
Paper I: General Studies (100 Marks)
Paper II: Law (150 Marks) - Focuses on the new criminal laws (Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, Bhartiya Sakshya Adhiniyam 2023, BNSS 2023), CPC, and Constitutional Law.
Written Main Examination (Subjective Type):
General Studies (100 Marks), General Hindi (100 Marks - Qualifying), General English (100 Marks - Qualifying).
Law Papers: Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023 (150 Marks), Bhartiya Sakshya Adhiniyam 2023 (150 Marks), BNSS 2023 & CPC 1908 (150 Marks), Constitutional Law (150 Marks), Other Minor Laws (150 Marks).
Interview / Personality Test: 100 Marks.
How to Apply
Candidates must first complete the One Time Registration (OTR) on the BPSC portal: bpsconline.bihar.gov.in.
Log in using the registered credentials to access the candidate dashboard.
Fill out the detailed application form and upload mandatory documents (via DigiLocker or manually).
Upload a live photograph using a webcam and scanned signatures in both Hindi and English.
Pay the application fee online before the deadline and lock the profile.
Download and print two copies of the submitted application form for future reference.
