Eligibility Criteria
1. Age Limit:
Minimum Age (As on 01.08.2025): 22 Years
Maximum Age (As on 01.08.2022): 35 Years
Age Relaxation: For reserved category candidates and all female candidates, the maximum age limit is up to 40 Years.
Retirement age for Judicial Officers is 60 years.
2. Educational Qualification & Experience:
Educational Qualification: Bachelor''s Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent from a University/Institute recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
Experience Requirement: Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience working as a legal practitioner at the Bar as of the notification date (23.02.2026). Experience is counted from the date of provisional enrollment/registration with the State Bar Council.

Selection Process (Scheme of Examination)
The examination will be conducted in three stages:
Preliminary Examination (Objective Type):
Paper I: General Studies (100 Marks, 1.5 Hours)
Paper II: Law (150 Marks, 2.0 Hours)
Written Main Examination (Subjective Type):
Compulsory Subjects: General Hindi (100 Marks), General English (100 Marks), General Knowledge (150 Marks), Elementary General Science (100 Marks), Law of Evidence & Procedure (150 Marks).
Optional Subjects: Candidates must choose 3 out of 5 specified Law subjects (150 Marks each).
Interview / Personality Test: 100 Marks (Minimum qualifying mark is 35%).
