AIIMS NORCET 10 Recruitment 2026: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has released the official notification (Notice No. 17/2026) for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET) - 10. Online applications are invited for the recruitment of 2551 Nursing Officer posts at Level 07 in the Pay Matrix for AIIMS New Delhi, other participating AIIMS, and Central Government Hospitals.

Important Note: As per the decision in the 4th meeting of CIB, 80% of seats are reserved for Females and 20% for Males at participating AIIMS.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit (As on 16.03.2026):

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years

  • Maximum Age: 30 Years

  • Age Relaxation: SC/ST (5 Years), OBC (3 Years), PwBD (10 Years), Ex-Servicemen and Central Govt. Civilian Employees as per rules.

2. Educational Qualification & Experience:

  • B.Sc Nursing: B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian/State Nursing Council recognized Institute OR B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
    Requirement: Must be registered as Nurses & Midwife with State / Indian Nursing Council. No experience required for B.Sc graduates.

  • GNM (Diploma): Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery from an INC/State Nursing Council recognized Institute.
    Requirement: Registered as Nurses & Midwife.
    Experience: Two Years'' Experience in a minimum 50-bedded Hospital after acquiring the GNM qualification.

Selection Process (Scheme of Examination)

The NORCET examination will be conducted in two successive stages:

  1. Stage I: NORCET Preliminary (Qualifying):

    • Duration: 90 minutes.

    • 100 MCQs (20 on General Knowledge & Aptitude, 80 on Nursing Syllabus).

    • Negative Marking: 1/3rd marks for each wrong answer.

    • Candidates qualifying (equal to 5 times the total seats) will be called for Stage II.

  2. Stage II: NORCET Main (Merit Deciding):

    • Duration: 180 minutes.

    • 160 MCQs covering the entire Nursing syllabus, focused on case scenario-based questions for testing nursing skills competency.

    • Negative Marking: 1/3rd marks for each wrong answer.
